Audio wiring: signal reliability and corrosion protection

Wiring determines the quality and reliability of a marine audio system. Undersized or poorly protected cables cause losses, interference, overheating, and intermittent failures.

Use appropriate wire gauges for the length, correct connectors, protected routing, and clean terminations.

Skysat tip

On cockpit or flybridge speakers, avoid unprotected connections in wet areas. A single oxidized connection can degrade one channel or unbalance an entire zone.
