Mantagua: French marine LED lighting, built to last
Mantagua is a French brand, developed since 2005 by Breizelec in Brittany. It designs and manufactures in France a complete range of LED lighting for nautical applications: COLREG-compliant navigation lights, interior ceiling lights, deck spotlights, cabin reading lights, LED strips, and LED replacement bulbs. All optics, electronics, and molding are mastered in-house, with sealed modules offering a lifespan exceeding 50,000 hours.
Skysat distributes Mantagua as a complement to its electrical and electronic offering: Victron, Mastervolt, and MG Energy for energy production and storage; BEP, CZone, and Blue Sea Systems for distribution and protection; Mantagua for all lighting that consumes this energy—from tricolor masthead lights to bimini LED strips. It’s the missing link between the electrical installation and onboard ergonomics.
Why Skysat distributes Mantagua
Because it is French-made (Concarneau)—meaning accessible technical support, short restocking times, and full traceability. Because their navigation lights are COLREG-certified and deliver on the promise of 2 to 5 nautical miles range, where many low-cost lights fail at the first offshore passage. And because their range covers all boat lighting with consistent optical quality and a single voltage logic (12V/24V), simplifying wiring and after-sales service.

Skysat Advice
Consider Mantagua from the start when designing your electrical installation: with low-consumption LED lighting, the full lighting of a cruising sailboat runs on just a few amps, allowing battery bank sizing to be optimized—validate with our Victron/MG Energy consumption simulators. For navigation lights, always choose the class matching your boat (< 12 m or ≥ 12 m): a lower-class light fitted on a large sailboat is not COLREG-compliant, even if the light seems sufficient. For comfort, the GLENAN and BELLE ILE reading lights with integrated USB-C become natural charging points in the cabin or at the berth—they replace separate USB sockets advantageously. Autonomous bimini LED strips with USB ports are the natural complement to a cockpit equipped with Starlink/Iridium: a single USB-C cable powers both lighting and connectivity. For refits, LED replacement bulbs (BAY15D, G4) let you keep original fixtures while cutting power consumption by 5 to 10 times.
Target Markets
- Sail and power leisure boats (full LED lighting refit or new build)
- Offshore racing (racing navigation lights, waterproof strips, minimal weight)
- Professional charter (long-term reliability, French after-sales service)
- Workboats and commercial fishing (COLREG-certified ranges, simplified repairs)
- System integrators and boatyards (bulk supply, 12/24 V voltage compatibility)
