Detailed description
Detailed description
The Blue Sea 9160-BSS ML-Series busbar link is an essential component for integrating high-current power management systems. Designed specifically for parallel coupling of ML-Series automatic charge relays (ACR) and remote battery switches (RBS), it ensures robust and optimized electrical connections.
Technical Design and Performance
This busbar is made from tinned copper, a material chosen for its maximum conductivity and superior corrosion resistance in marine environments. This design ensures that the nominal performance of ML-Series devices—such as their 500A continuous and 1450A peak (30 seconds) ratings—is fully utilized without significant power loss. Unlike custom wiring solutions that can introduce failure points or additional resistance, the 9160-BSS provides a standardized and reliable solution. It is sold individually, allowing installation flexibility based on the number of devices to be coupled.
Positioning and System Integration
The 9160-BSS busbar serves as a key integration accessory within the Blue Sea ecosystem, complementing ML-Series remote battery switches (models 7700, 7702, 7713, 7717) and automatic charge relays (models 7620, 7622, 7621, 7623). It simplifies the implementation of complex battery management systems, enabling sailors to benefit from stable and secure current distribution. This solution streamlines installation and maintenance while ensuring the electrical integrity of critical onboard circuits.
