With a length of 15 meters, this LAN-type cable includes pre-molded connectors, enabling a direct and reliable installation. It ensures the transmission of essential data for the advanced features of the SC-70 and SC-130 compasses.
Accuracy and System Integration
The FURUNO SC-70 and SC-130 satellite compasses, whose operation is enabled by this cable, provide heading data with an accuracy of 0.4°rms for the SC-70 and 0.25°rms for the SC-130. These systems use Multi-GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS) for continuous coverage and high accuracy. The generated data includes GPS positioning, speed and ground track (SOG, COG), rate of turn (ROT), and 3-axis speed, crucial for navigation and critical maneuvers such as docking.
Compatibility and Performance
The S-17209-L15 allows the integration of heading and position data into various onboard equipment, such as autopilots, radars, ARPA systems, sonars, chartplotters, and ECDIS. The SC-70 and SC-130 compasses are characterized by a fast startup time of approximately 90 seconds and extended connectivity via NMEA2000, NMEA0183 (via interface), AD10, IEC61162, IEC61162-2, and IEC61162-450. They are also IMO Type Approved as heading indicators, GPS, and rate-of-turn indicators (THD, GPS, ROTI) when used with the RD-50 display.
