This battery uses LiFePO4 chemistry, known for its stability and longevity, and delivers a nominal voltage of 12.8V (range 10.0V to 14.6V).

Performance and reliability

With a capacity of 12Ah and a nominal energy of 153 Wh, the REBELCELL SB12V0470A delivers a maximum pulsed cranking current of 470A at 15°C and 300A at -12°C over a 5-second duration. Its self-discharge rate is less than 3% per month, minimizing charge loss during periods of inactivity. It offers a lifespan of approximately 1,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge (DoD), ensuring long-term reliability.

Robust design and integration

This battery features compact dimensions of 150x87x130 mm and a weight of approximately 1.9 kg, with an energy density of about 90 Wh/kg. It is rated IP67, providing protection against dust and temporary immersion in water. The discharge temperature range is from -20°C to 55°C, while charging is possible between 0°C and 45°C. For storage, it supports temperatures from -20°C to 45°C.

The system includes cell balancing and protections against high temperatures, overvoltage, undervoltage, and maximum discharge. Charging is compatible via the engine alternator with a maximum current of 80A, or via a dedicated LiFePO4 charger with a maximum current of 5A, following a CC/CV charging profile of 14.6V. The battery is certified CE, UN38.3, MSDS and classified UN3480 Class 9 ADR for transport. It comes with a 3-year warranty.
