Its overall dimensions are 47.05 mm (1.85 in) in length. Installation is achieved using #6 screws, providing a stable fit on the surface. This model is part of BLUE SEA’s CableClam range, which offers various sizes to accommodate different cable diameters, serving as a targeted alternative to traditional cable glands for specific applications.

Installation of the CableClam 0.68"

    Installing the CableClam 0.68" cable gland requires pre-drilling the gland to match the cable diameter while keeping the wet area intact. The gland is then slit from its edge to the center to ease cable insertion. The kit includes a deck ring and a gland that are secured to the surface. The compression ring is slid onto the cable, the gland is pressed into this ring, and the assembly is screwed into the deck ring. This assembly method ensures reliable watertightness without requiring specialized skills, provided instructions are followed and compression screws are not over-tightened. The CableClam series, which includes this model, is positioned as a practical solution for installations requiring individual cable protection, complementing junction boxes and watertight conduits for more complex harnesses.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0988/3274/4788/files/01_-_Hero_-_BLUE_SEA_CableClam_0.68in_1001-BSS_-_Ref_be61a799.jpg?v=1779313572
