Measurement Technology and Performance

The FT743-D-SM sensor uses FT Technologies's exclusive Acu-Res® technology, which automatically compensates for variations in temperature, pressure, and humidity. The sensor measures wind speed from 0 to 75 m/s with a resolution of 0,1 m/s and an accuracy of ±0,3 m/s (0-16 m/s), ±2 % (16-40 m/s), and ±4 % (40-75 m/s). Wind direction is measured over 360° with a resolution of 1° and an accuracy of 4° RMS. An integrated compass offers an accuracy of 5° RMS. Acoustic temperature is measured with a resolution of 0,1 °C and an accuracy of ±2 °C under specific conditions (speed range 5-60 m/s, -20 to +60 °C, temperature difference <10 °C).

Robust Design and Integration

Made of corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum, the FT743-D-SM is watertight with an IP67 protection rating when properly installed with its O-ring. It integrates an adjustable thermostatic heating system from 0° to 55 °C for operation in extreme conditions. The sensor weighs 252 g and has a height of 71,2 mm.
