Mach 40.5 #196 Machouquette, launched in 2023

Alternative Sailing - Constructions du Belon is the Class40Mach 40.5 #FRA 196, hull name Machouquette, launched on July 10, 2023. Design by Sam Manuard, built by JPS Production (La Trinité-sur-Mer). The boat is co-skippered by Alternative Sailing (sailboat charter, La Trinité-sur-Mer) and Constructions du Belon (Brittany-based builder, title partner).

Mach 40.5 platform

Fifth iteration of the Mach 40 range designed by Manuard for JPS. The 40.5 is a scow-bow hull optimized for reaching power and directional stability in singlehanded and doublehanded sailing.

Successive skippers: Mathieu Jones and Estelle Greck (2023), Mathieu Jones (2024), Guillaume L'Hostis since May 2024 (official skipper), Antoine Le Manchec as co-skipper for doublehanded races.
