Basyc is a 22.20 m overall length offshore cruising sailboat, designed by Finot-Conq and built as a single unit by JFA Yachts in Concarneau. Yard number 27C, delivered early 2018. The model is designated FC²70 (Finot Conq x Fast Cruiser, 70 feet), a fast cruiser variant on the same hull as the FC56.
Aluminum hull, infusion glass/epoxy deck and coachroof, bonded-bolted assembly — mixed method reducing weight compared to an all-aluminum build on this size. Carbon rigging, composite lifting keel with lead ballast (draft 2.05 m / 4.40 m), twin rudders, two thrusters (bow and stern) for single-shaft harbor maneuvering. 3.40 m stern garage for tender.
Spec sheet built around a long-range cruising program: transatlantic to South America planned for early 2020, round-the-world project with reduced crew. Cockpit design (mainsheet on arch, single-person tender launch) meets this light-crew requirement on a 70-foot platform.
