IMOCA 60 designed byFarr Yacht Design (Bruce Farr) and built bySouthern Ocean Marine in Tauranga (New Zealand) in2007. Sister ship ofPaprec-Virbac 2 (same molds). Launched for Loïck Peyron asGitana Eighty — in tribute to Edmond de Rothschild, who would have turned 80 in 2007.

Eight successive identities
The boat changed flags almost every cycle. Gitana Eighty (Loïck Peyron, 2007–2009), Estrella Damm / 1876 then W Hotels and Renault Z.E. (Guillermo Altadill and Pachi Rivero, 2009–2011), Synerciel (Jean Le Cam, 2012–2013), GAES Centros Auditivos (Anna Corbella and Gerard Marín, 2013–2015), Newrest-Matmut then Newrest-Brioche Pasquier (Fabrice Amédéo, 2015–2017), Pure / Pure-Best Western (Romain Attanasio, 2018–2021), finally Tut gut. Sailing (Oliver Heer, since 2022).
