Hull design: second-generation scow in the Class40
The Mach 40.4 is a second-generation Manuard scow hull (after the Mach 40.3 introduced in 2019). 12.19 m hull, wide bow, forward volumes to increase righting moment and limit bow diving downwind. The boat is designed for offshore racing — speed on reaching, solo tolerance — not for tight close-hauled sailing.
