Operating on a 12–24 VDC power supply, this dual-frequency device integrates data directly onto Furuno NavNet multifunction displays or a personal computer, providing a paperless solution.

Reception and Storage Capabilities

    The FAX30 covers an LF frequency range of 80–160 kHz and MF/HF of 2–25 MHz for Facsimile, and 490 kHz and 518 kHz for Navtex. It features 1,000 channels, including 84 preprogrammed frequencies and the ability for the user to define up to 320 additional channels. The reception system uses dual superheterodyne. The unit can store a maximum of 12 Facsimile images and up to 130 Navtex messages.

Advanced Digital Signal Processing

    This receiver uses digital signal processing to automatically optimize performance, reduce noise and interference, and deliver clear images. The best reception frequency is automatically selected based on signal strength, signal-to-noise ratio, and overall quality. Images can be displayed in monochrome, 8 shades of gray, or various color palettes, including blue/red, white/blue, pink/black, and red and blue. Editing functions include zoom, rotation, lock, phase and synchronization correction, as well as three levels of noise reduction.

Integration and Automated Features

    The FAX30 connects via 10 BASE-T TCP/IP Ethernet to Furuno NavNet displays (such as NavNet 10.4", NavNet 3D, or NavNet vx2) or a PC. The interface is managed through menus on NavNet or via a standard web browser for PC connections. The device supports fully automatic Facsimile operations via an integrated scheduler, allowing up to 30 automatic reception schedules. Scan speed (60, 90, 120, 180, 240 rpm) and IOC (576 or 288) selection is automatic or manual. The Navtex functionality automatically displays urgent warnings and allows retrieval of all stored messages, though the integrated Navtex receiver does not comply with GMDSS regulations.

Physical and Environmental Specifications

    With dimensions of approximately 300 mm (H) × 217 mm (W) × 48 mm (D) and a weight of 2.0 kg, the FAX30 is a compact unit. It is designed to operate in ambient temperatures from -15°C to +55°C and relative humidity of 95% or less at +40°C. Its ingress protection rating is IPX2 per IEC 60529, and it meets IEC 60945 vibration standards.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0988/3274/4788/files/featured-upscaled-15503531540820-1000.jpg?v=1783620827
