This includes the region from the Strait of Gibraltar, extending beyond the Canary Islands and Cape Verde, along the Gulf of Guinea, and down to the South African coast to the west. To the east, it covers the African coast, the Red Sea, and the Sea of Oman. It provides essential information such as depth zones and contours, spot soundings, navigation aids (NavAids), light sectors, wrecks\/obstructions, and facilities for small craft.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eFeatures and compatibility of C-MAP MAX charts\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n    \u003cstrong\u003eC-MAP MAX\u003c\/strong\u003e charts are supplied on a microSD card (mSD) with an SD card adapter; the Compact Flash format is no longer offered. They benefit from bi-annual updates incorporating the latest navigational warnings, as well as updates to marina facilities, port services, and photos. These charts are compatible with many chartplotters from manufacturers such as Lowrance, Simrad, and B\u0026G; checking compatibility with a specific model is advised. They are not compatible with smartphones or tablets.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n    Notable features include tide and current level and direction projections, detailed marina plans with location and restricted area information via the C-Marina Port database, and details on ports and approaches (limits, bridges, anchorage zones).
