VHF Radio Pack, V100-B system, AIS+GPS 500

The VHF Radio Pack, V100-B system, AIS+GPS 500 by B&G is a modular and complete marine communication and safety solution. Designed around a "black box" central unit for discreet installation, this system integrates a Class D DSC VHF radio, a Class B AIS transponder, and a dedicated external GPS antenna. Its NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity ensures seamless integration with multifunction displays and onboard instrumentation.

VHF and integrated Class B AIS system

The VHF radio offers selectable transmit power of 1W or 25W and is Class D DSC certified. The V100-B system stands out from the V100 model with its integrated Class B AIS transponder (transmitter and receiver), which transmits your vessel’s position while receiving data from other AIS-equipped vessels, enhancing safety and collision avoidance. The pack includes the external GPS-500 antenna, ensuring precise and reliable positioning for DSC and AIS functions, even if the black box is installed below deck.

Modular and scalable design

The V100-B system is designed to adapt to the needs of any vessel. It can support up to eight handsets in total: four wired H100 handsets (one included) and four wireless H60 handsets (optional), turning the system into a true onboard intercom. For extended audio distribution, up to four external speakers and an optional hailer can be connected. This expansion capability positions it as a central communication solution for large sailboats and motorboats.

Features and technical specifications

The V100-B system features advanced functions for intuitive and secure use. The "Track Buddy" function allows tracking the position of five vessels using their MMSI number. An audio replay memory records the last 60 seconds of incoming communications to ensure no important message is missed. The main unit has IPX7 waterproofing. The H100 handset features a large display with night mode, and its backlight can be synchronized with other B&G instruments via NMEA 2000 backlight groups.
