Expert opinion

« Maintaining the performance of Garmin gWind™ wind sensors »

As a rotating component exposed to marine elements, the propeller of a wind transducer / vane anemometer is subject to wear, debris impacts, or salt buildup. This Garmin replacement propeller is an essential maintenance part that restores the functionality and accuracy of the entire gWind™ sensor without requiring a full unit replacement. It is a strategic investment to maintain the integrity of your sailboat navigation system.

Quick replacement of the propeller ensures that wind data (speed and direction) remains reliable, which is crucial for polar calculations, tactical decision support, and overall sailboat performance. Do not underestimate the impact of a damaged propeller on the accuracy of the information transmitted to your chartplotter or wind instrument.
