Expert opinion

« Essential protection for Humminbird HELIX 12 displays »

The UC-H12 protective cover for Humminbird’s HELIX 12 series is an accessory that addresses a fundamental need: passive protection of your electronic equipment. HELIX 12 displays represent a significant investment, and their screen, in particular, is vulnerable to external damage. This silicone cover is more than just a cosmetic accessory; it extends the lifespan of your device by effectively protecting it from accidental scratches, salt spray, dust, or intense UV rays during periods of inactivity or storage at the harbor.

Its custom-fit design, specifically for the HELIX 12 series, is a major advantage compared to universal covers that may slip or leave areas exposed. The silicone’s flexibility greatly simplifies installation and removal, which is appreciated for regular use. It is essential to follow the manufacturer’s caution: do not use it during trailer transport. This limitation is logical, as vibrations and high-speed turbulence could cause it to come loose or create unwanted friction. For winter storage or extended stops, it is a simple and effective solution for keeping your screen in perfect condition.
