Real-Time Sonar Imaging and Precision

This transducer delivers ultra-clear, live views of fish and structures, ensuring uninterrupted sonar coverage. It integrates three viewing modes: Forward, Down, and Landscape, offering versatility for fish tracking and a complete view of the underwater environment. MEGA Imaging® technology is at the core of this sounder, providing enhanced detail and clarity across the entire sonar display, improving the detection of fish, structures, and bait.

For precise lure tracking, the sounder features an optimized sonar cone angle, facilitating monitoring of bait movement and fish reactions. It also improves image clarity and stability through refined noise filtering and more effective target separation, enabling precise distinction between individual fish, bait, and bottom features. It delivers extended forward range to cover more area and locate fish faster.

Customization and Integration

The sounder offers 15 customizable color palettes, designed to optimize image detail and clarity in various water and light conditions. For improved navigation and positioning, it allows direct integration of waypoints on the MEGA Live Imaging sonar screen, provided it is paired with an optional GPS receiver with a heading sensor (AS GPS HS).

Installation and Technical Specifications

The MEGA LIVE 2nd Generation Sounder does not require an external sonar box. It connects directly to compatible Humminbird models via an Ethernet cable. Installation is on the shaft of an electric motor using an adjustable mounting bracket that ensures increased stability, even in rough sea conditions. It can be mounted on either side of the electric motor shaft.

Extended Compatibility

This sounder is compatible with Humminbird control units APEX, SOLIX G3, and XPLORE, particularly those equipped with MEGA Side Imaging or MEGA Down Imaging technology. For electric motors, it is recommended for Minn Kota® Ultrex™, Fortrex®, and QUEST models featuring Built-in MEGA Imaging® technology. It is also compatible with Minn Kota electric motors Maxxum and Edge.
