The Navicom RT1050 AIS fixed VHF is a marine communication solution designed for safety at sea. It integrates a touchscreen, a GPS module, and an AIS receiver, providing a centralized interface for navigation and maritime traffic monitoring.

Integrated Communication and Safety

With selectable output power of 25W or 1W, the Navicom RT1050 AIS ensures communication range tailored to needs. Its Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) system, featuring a dual receiver for channel 70 (156.525 MHz), enables distress and routine calls with identification. The integrated AIS receiver supports Class A position reports (AIS messages 1/2/3), Class B reports (AIS message 18), and extended Class B reports (AIS message 19), as well as static and voyage data for Class A (AIS message 5) and Class B (AIS messages 24A/24B). These functions enhance situational awareness around the vessel.

Connectivity and System Integration

The RT1050 AIS features NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity. The NMEA 0183 input supports RMC, GGA, GLL, ZDA, VTG, and GSV sentences, while the NMEA 0183 output provides DSC data (for DSC calls), DSE data (for enhanced positions), and AIVDM data (for AIS). This extended compatibility enables seamless integration with other onboard electronics, such as Humminbird combos (Solix, Helix) or other NMEA 0183 devices. The unit operates on 13.8V DC power and has an IPX7 waterproof rating, making it suitable for demanding marine environments.
