The AIRMAR 200WX ultrasonic weather station is designed for professional fishing and marine or land-based applications requiring real-time, precise meteorological data. This compact and rugged station measures multiple environmental parameters without moving parts, improving durability and reducing maintenance requirements.

Accurate and dynamic wind measurements

The AIRMAR 200WX uses ultrasonic technology for wind measurement, offering a speed range of 0 to 40 m/s with a resolution of 0.1 m/s and an accuracy of 5 % at 10 m/s across 4 angles. Wind direction is measured from 0° to 359.9° with a resolution of 0.1° and an accuracy of ±3° at 10 m/s. It calculates true wind by integrating apparent wind data with vehicle speed and heading, provided by its internal 10 Hz GPS and 3-axis electronic compass.

Integrated sensors and versatile connectivity

Equipped with a 10 Hz GPS, the station provides position, speed over ground (SOG), and course over ground (COG) data with an accuracy of 3 meters CEP. It integrates a 3-axis electronic compass with a static heading accuracy of 1° and dynamic heading accuracy of 2°, featuring dynamic stabilization. A 3-axis gyrometer supplies yaw rate data, and a 3-axis accelerometer provides pitch and roll information with an accuracy of ±1° within a ±30° range.

The AIRMAR 200WX also measures barometric pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa (accuracy ±0.5 hPa at 25°C) and air temperature from -40 to 80°C (accuracy ±1.1°C at 20°C). A relative humidity sensor option is available. The station operates on 9 to 40 VDC with power consumption below 75 mA (<0.9 W) at 12 VDC. It offers RS-232, RS-422, and CAN communication interfaces, supporting NMEA 0183/ASCII and NMEA 2000 protocols for extended system integration. Its housing is rated IPX6 (IPX4 with the optional humidity sensor), weighs 300 g, and mounts on a standard 1"-14 UNS thread. Operating temperature range is -25 to 55°C.
