FOULFREE — AIRMAR antifouling kit for depth sounder - 15 ml

Designed to protect marine depth sounders, the AIRMAR FOULFREE 15 ml antifouling kit is a transparent, non-toxic coating solution. Developed in collaboration with Propspeed® International, this product aims to maintain optimal performance of sonar and fish detection equipment by preventing marine organisms from colonizing the active surface of the transducer.

Protection and Performance

The FOULFREE coating creates a smooth surface to which marine organisms cannot adhere, ensuring consistent transducer clarity. This long-lasting protection, up to two years, helps preserve transducer sensitivity, bottom echo return quality, and fish target intensity. Airmar certifies that applying this coating does not result in any loss of transducer performance.

Technical Specifications and Application

The kit contains a 15 ml tube of silicone polymer-based coating, sufficient for coverage of approximately 0.09 m². Its formula is non-toxic and does not release harmful chemicals into the water. Touch-dry time is 20 minutes (or 3 hours at 20°C), with a minimum of 8 hours required before launching at 20°C (or 24 hours between 5 and 13°C). The coating can be reapplied between 8 hours and 5 days after the first coat, at 20°C. Shelf life is 3 years.
