The AIRMAR P66DST transducer is a versatile depth sounder designed for transom mounting, providing depth, speed, and water temperature data. With 600W power and dual-frequency operation at 50/200 kHz, this transducer is suitable for vessels up to 8 meters (26 feet) LOA seeking a complete and reliable solution for marine data collection.
Performance and Technical Specifications
The P66DST uses dual frequencies to optimize performance across varying depths. At 50 kHz, it offers a 45° beam width and a maximum range of 366 meters (1200'), while at 200 kHz, the beam width is 12° with a maximum range of 213 meters (700'). The transducer features a dual-frequency ceramic element and a laminated plastic urethane (LPU) acoustic window. Its design accommodates transom mounting angles from 2° to 20°.
Design and Reliability
The P66DST’s hydrodynamic design, with its rounded nose, minimizes turbulence for accurate readings even at high speeds. An integrated water flow channel protects the paddlewheel from obstructions. The housing is made from chemical- and impact-resistant plastic. A quick-release plastic mounting bracket protects the sensor from frontal impacts and allows tool-free removal for maintenance or storage. A patented noise suppression system is integrated to improve shielding against interference and vibrations, enhancing performance at higher speeds.

This transducer is compatible with a range of Furuno multifunction displays and fishfinders, including models GP1871F, GP1971F, FCV628, FCV588, BBDS1, TZTL12F, TZTL15F, TZT2BB, TZT9F, TZT12F, TZT16F, and TZT19F. The 10-meter cable allows flexible installation aboard.
