Designed for fishing and navigation, the AIRMAR TM185MW depth sounder is a single-band CHIRP ultra-wide transducer at 1 kW, optimized for transom installation. Operating in a mid-frequency range of 60 to 100 kHz, it delivers a total bandwidth of 40 kHz, improving target detection and detail resolution for better seabed and fish school interpretation.
Performance and Coverage
With 1 kW power, the AIRMAR TM185MW reaches a maximum depth of 400 meters (1,300 feet). Its ultra-wide beam, ranging from 57° to 73° port to starboard and averaging 16° bow to stern, ensures maximum coverage under the boat. This transducer integrates a depth sensor and a rapid-response water temperature sensor. The mid-frequency range is suited for mid-depth performance and improved target separation. It maintains efficient performance at boat speeds below 30 knots.
Installation and Compatibility
The TM185MW transducer is compatible with all hull materials and designed for transom installation, fitting transom angles from 2° to 22°. It is housed in a urethane and stainless steel bracket with a urethane acoustic window. This model comes with 9 meters of cable and includes Airmar’s Xducer ID® technology. It is available in Mix and Match™ version, requiring a cable adapter for connection to the display.
