Designed for Furuno NavNet TZtouchXL and NavNet TZtouch3 advanced navigation systems, the AIRMAR TM903 transom-mount transducer is a Side-Scan CHIRP solution dedicated to detailed underwater imaging. Operating in the high-frequency range of 445-465 kHz, this 150W transducer provides structure detection and seabed analysis with a range up to 200 metres (approximately 656 feet).
High-Resolution Side-Scan CHIRP Technology
The AIRMAR TM903 integrates high-frequency CHIRP technology to generate detailed images of the seabed to port and starboard of the vessel. This capability is essential for identifying submerged structures, analyzing substrate variations, and underwater survey applications. The 445-465 kHz range is optimized for image resolution in shallow to mid-depth waters, ensuring enhanced target separation. The CHIRP technology enables recognition of haloclines and thermoclines, as well as improved signal-to-noise ratio.
TM903 Installation and Compatibility
The TM903 transducer features a durable plastic housing and a watertight rating suitable for marine environments. Its transom-mount installation is designed for small craft and trailerable boats where through-hull installation is not feasible. This method offers simplified deployment, easier maintenance, and reliable performance at speeds below 30 knots. The transducer comes with 12 metres of cable and a 12-pin Furuno connector, ensuring direct integration with NavNet TZtouchXL and TZtouch3 displays. An integrated water temperature sensor is also included for additional environmental data.
