Detailed description
Detailed description
The Ancor 100' 3/0 YELLOW TINNED COPPER battery cable is designed for demanding marine electrical systems. This 3/0 AWG (85 mm²) cable offers a length of 100 feet (approximately 30.5 meters) and features tinned copper strands for corrosion and electrolysis protection. Its high-quality vinyl (PVC) insulation is formulated to withstand harsh marine environments, including saltwater, battery acid, oil, gasoline, heat, abrasion, and ultraviolet (UV) rays.
Design and Performance
This Ancor cable is equipped with ultra-flexible stranding (Type 3) that resists vibration and flexing, contributing to its durability. The insulation maintains flexibility even at extreme temperatures down to -40°C. With a rated voltage of 600V and temperature resistance of 105°C dry / 75°C wet, it is suitable for critical power applications aboard.
Compliance and Specifications
The Ancor 100' 3/0 YELLOW TINNED COPPER cable exceeds the requirements of marine standards UL 1426, ABYC, and US Coast Guard Charter boat (CFR Title 46), attesting to its reliability for recreational vessels. It contains 6.5% more copper than standard SAE cables, improving conductivity. Its nominal outer diameter is 11/16" (17.5 mm), and its weight is 306 kg per 1000 feet.
