Detailed description
Detailed description
The Ancor 100' 10/3 Tinned Shore Power Cord is designed to provide a reliable electrical connection between a vessel and shore power pedestals. With a length of 100 feet (30.4 meters), it features tinned copper conductors in a 10 AWG gauge with a three-conductor configuration (black, white, green) compliant with ABYC standards. The tinned copper design offers protection against corrosion and electrolysis in marine environments.
Robust and compliant construction
This cable is rated for 600 volts, making it suitable for high-duty service. Its proprietary vinyl insulation is rated for up to 60°C (140°F) for the cable itself, and up to 105°C in dry conditions or 75°C in wet conditions for the insulation. The high-visibility yellow outer jacket is UV-resistant, oil-resistant, gasoline-resistant, heat-resistant, saltwater-resistant, battery acid-resistant, and abrasion-resistant. It is also waterproof, enhancing durability in marine environments. The nominal outer diameter of the cable is 17 mm (21/32"). Its weight is 129 kg (284 lbs) per 304.8 meters (1000 feet).
Flexibility and safety
The cable incorporates ultra-flexible 3/K-class insulation, which minimizes fatigue from vibrations and repeated bending, making handling and coiling easier. It complies with UL 1426, ABYC, and US Coast Guard (CFR Title 46) standards, ensuring suitability for demanding marine applications, including charter boats. The outer jacket is also designed for easy stripping during installation.
