Designed for offshore sailing, multihulls, and superyachts, the B&G Zeus³S Glass Helm MFD 24" Display Only is a central multifunction display for integrated navigation systems. It features a responsive touch interface and remote control options for simplified operation.
Performance and display
This chartplotter is equipped with a 24-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080, delivering a brightness of 1200 nits for optimal visibility, even in intense sunlight or with polarized sunglasses. The optical-link TFT screen ensures image clarity. At its core, the device features an iMX 8 six-core processor, providing enhanced performance compared to previous models, ensuring smooth transitions and quick access to navigation data.
Connectivity and integration
The Zeus³S Glass Helm MFD 24" integrates multiple connectivity options for complete system integration. It includes NMEA 2000 ports (1 x Micro-C), Ethernet (3 x RJ45, 1 Mbit), and NMEA 0183 (2x IEC61162-1, 2x IEC61162-2), as well as J1939 connectivity (1 x Micro-C). For entertainment and video, it includes an HDMI input (1x 1080p, HDCP 1.4, HDMI-A) and two composite video inputs (2x BNC). The internal Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) enables remote viewing and control via mobile devices, as well as software updates. The device is equipped with 16 GB of internal storage and a Micro SD card reader compatible up to 32 GB (or more if formatted as NTFS).
Sailing-specific features
This MFD integrates a suite of sailing-focused functions, including SailSteer, RacePanel, LayLines, SailingTime, and PredictWind, all designed to optimize performance and navigation strategy. Its modular design allows configuration of up to six panels in split-screen mode, offering customizable displays. Control is via a responsive multi-touch touchscreen, complemented by the option to add keypads for precise adjustments, particularly in rough sea conditions. The system is compatible with C-MAP cartography (MAX N, MAX N+), Insight, Navionics (Gold, NAV+ Platinum+), and NV Digital (Raster US Charts).
Durability and installation
With an IPX6-rated front panel when properly flush-mounted, the display is designed to withstand marine environments. It operates within a temperature range of -15°C to +55°C. Mounting options include flush and bracket mounting. The Naviop integration enables monitoring and control of engines, lights, power, and other electronic systems directly from the display.
