Detailed description
Detailed description
The BEP CC SINGLE ENG. BATT.SW. VSR COMBO MC1 (CC-802) is a battery management solution designed for single-engine marine installations with two battery banks. It integrates a battery switch and a 140-amp dual-sense voltage-sensitive relay (VSR) that optimizes power distribution and battery charging. This system simplifies wiring and complexity compared to traditional battery isolators.
Integrated power management
This combo ensures efficient battery charging. The VSR automatically detects the voltages of the connected battery banks, ensuring the secondary bank is charged as soon as a charging source is detected on the main bank, such as the engine alternator. The system provides constant availability of a charged reserve battery. It is compatible with 12V and 24V systems; the VSR automatically adapts, with a maximum system voltage of 48 Volts DC.
Modular design and safety
The BEP CC-802 features the Contour Lock system, allowing standalone installation or assembly with other Contour Connect switches and modules for flexible expansion and a clean finish. The switch offers manual or motorized operation (if used with an external key switch such as the 722-KS). It includes a removable control button that can be turned counterclockwise by 45°, serving as an anti-theft function. A removable rear cover isolates the rear terminals, ensuring compliance with ABYC safety requirements. The entire system, including the switch and VSR, is ignition-protected, making it safe for installation in marine engine compartments.
Technical specifications
The BEP CC-802 battery switch has a continuous rated current of 275 amperes DC, an intermittent current of 455 amperes DC, and a cranking current of 1250 amperes DC. The terminals are equipped with 10 mm (3/8") tinned copper studs. The unit is designed for flush or surface mounting. Its design allows flexible installation, horizontally or vertically, using separately supplied links and fittings. Clip-on mounting strips conceal panel fasteners for a clean aesthetic.
