Designed for marine environments, the Clarion CMS-651-SWB 6.5-inch (165 mm) coaxial flush-mount speakers deliver sound reproduction suited to nautical conditions. These 2-way speakers feature a UV-protected polypropylene woofer with synthetic rubber surround, and a 1/2-inch (13 mm) balanced dome tweeter with neodymium magnet and ferrofluid cooling.
Audio Performance and Marine Durability
With a continuous power (RMS) rating of 30 watts per channel and a peak power of 60 watts, the CMS-651-SWB is optimized for systems powered directly by the source unit, with recommended amplification of 20 to 60 watts RMS per channel. Frequency response spans 55 Hz to 20,000 Hz (± 3 dB) with a sensitivity of 87 dB @ 1W/1m and an impedance of 4 ohms. These speakers carry "Salt & Sun Certified" certification (ASTM B117 for salt spray resistance and ASTM D4329 for UV stability), ensuring long-term performance in harsh marine conditions. They are also water-resistant.
