Designed for the marine environment, the Clarion CMS-651RGB-SWB marine speakers are 2-way coaxial 6.5-inch (165 mm) models featuring RGB LED lighting. This audio system is suited to marine conditions thanks to its robust design.
Technical and acoustic specifications
These speakers feature a 6.5-inch (16.5 cm) UV-protected polypropylene cone woofer with synthetic rubber surround. The tweeter is a 1/2-inch (13 mm) balanced dome in PEI (Polyetherimide). They deliver a continuous RMS power of 30 watts and handle a peak power of 60 watts. The frequency response ranges from 55 Hz to 20,000 Hz (± 3 dB), with a sensitivity of 87 dB at 1 W/1 m and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The required cutout diameter is approximately 127 to 133 mm (5.00 to 5.25 inches), with an outer frame diameter of approximately 175 mm (6.90 inches) and a mounting depth of 66 mm (2.60 inches).
Durable marine design and aesthetic integration
The design of the Clarion CMS-651RGB-SWB is "Salt and Sun Certified", complying with ASTM-D4329 standards for UV stability and ASTM-B117 for salt spray resistance. Materials are UV-treated, audio and lighting connectors are waterproof, speaker surrounds are moisture-resistant, and mounting hardware is rustproof stainless steel. These speakers have an IP65 rating, ensuring protection against water jets. The integrated RGB LED lighting, located behind the tweeter, allows color customization via an RGB controller (sold separately). The package includes two sets of sport-style grilles, one white and one black, to match the boat's aesthetics.
