Designed for marine environments, the Clarion CMSP-651RGB-SWG 6.5-inch (165 mm) coaxial marine speakers provide a complete audio solution with integrated lighting. This 2-way system features an injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone filled with mica, paired with a synthetic rubber surround, optimized for marine use. The 1-inch (25 mm) silk dome tweeter is mounted on a bridge, incorporating a neodymium magnet and ferrofluid cooling for detailed high-frequency reproduction.
Audio performance and marine durability
The Clarion CMSP-651RGB-SWG speakers deliver a nominal RMS power of 50 watts per speaker (100 watts per pair) and a peak power of 100 watts per speaker. With a 4-ohm impedance, they cover a frequency response from 55 to 20,000 Hz and a sensitivity of 87 dB. Their design is "Salt and Sun Certified", attesting to compliance with ASTM-D4329 standards for UV stability and ASTM-B117 for salt spray resistance. The baskets and grilles are UV- and corrosion-resistant, and the audio and lighting connectors are waterproof, ensuring reliability in marine environments.
Integrated RGB LED lighting and installation
These speakers feature RGB LED lighting hidden behind the tweeter housing, providing accent illumination on the woofer cone. Seven fixed LED colors are selectable via individual wiring, and an RGB lighting controller (sold separately) allows adjustable control. Installation requires a separate 12 V wiring for powering the LEDs of each speaker.
