Designed for discreet installations, the Clarion CMM-30BB marine stereo source is a "hideaway" audio unit offering advanced audio features and marine-grade durability. It is specifically designed to be controlled via a compatible NMEA 2000® multifunction display (MFD) or optional wired remotes, without requiring an integrated display.
Audio performance and advanced connectivity
The CMM-30BB features a Class D amplifier delivering 100 watts (25W RMS x 4 at 4 ohms) across two main zones, with stable stereo output down to 2Ω. It includes 8-channel pre-outs (3.5V RMS) with selectable functionality for Zone 4 or a subwoofer. Users can customize sound with a 5-band equalizer or built-in tone controls (bass/mid/treble).
Audio sources include a global digital AM/FM tuner, integrated NOAA weather radio (US only), and SiriusXM-Ready® compatibility (requires a tuner, antenna, and subscription sold separately). Wireless audio streaming is provided by Bluetooth® 5.0 with Qualcomm® aptX™ for improved sound quality. A USB 2.0 input allows playback from storage devices and provides a 2.1A charging output. A pair of auxiliary analog stereo inputs (2V RMS) is also available.
Marine integration and robustness
Certified NMEA 2000®, the Clarion CMM-30BB integrates with onboard networks for control via compatible MFDs (e.g., Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad). It also supports up to three optional wired remotes, with a maximum cumulative cable length of 23 meters.
Its design meets industrial standards for salt fog/UV resistance (ASTM B117/D4329) and vibration resistance (3.0G). The unit is rated IP66 for water and dust ingress protection, and its circuit boards are conformal-coated for corrosion resistance, ensuring reliability in marine environments.
