Designed for marine navigation, the FLIR JCU-4 control unit is a precision joystick dedicated to controlling FLIR thermal and visible cameras. This complete kit provides intuitive control of pan, tilt, and zoom, ensuring precise camera handling in various maritime conditions.

Interface and display

The FLIR JCU-4 integrates a 2.9-inch IPS TFT LCD color screen with a resolution of 376 (H) x 960 (W) pixels (RGB). Its 600 nits brightness and 1:1500 contrast ratio ensure clear visibility. Viewing angles of 80+/80+ allow optimal reading from different positions. An ergonomic backlit keypad, combined with a dimmable LCD screen, preserves the operator’s night vision. Three customizable keys provide quick access to frequently used camera functions.

Connectivity and robustness

The FLIR JCU-4 control unit is compatible with FLIR thermal and visible cameras, including the M232, M300, M400/M400XR, M500 series, as well as the older M, MU/MV series and Raymarine T-Series cameras. It is designed for demanding environments, with an operating temperature range of -25°C to +55°C and IPx6 waterproof protection. Power supply is flexible, accepting 8V to 32V DC or Power over Ethernet (PoE) from 44V to 57V DC (PoE Class 2), with a maximum consumption of 5W. Network connectivity is via a RayNet connector, compliant with IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3af (PoE) Ethernet standards. Its dimensions are 3.69" (W) x 5.77" (H) x 2.49" (D).
