Detailed description
Designed for integration into NMEA2000 marine networks, the FURUNO FI-50-CHAIN-1M is a 1-meter angled Micro-C patch cable. This cable enables data transmission between compatible devices within a vessel network, ensuring reliable and standardized connectivity.
Connectivity and robustness
The FI-50-CHAIN-1M features Micro-C connectors with 5 pins, male on one end and female on the other, with an angled design. This design is specifically suited for installations where space is limited, allowing optimal cable routing. The cable fully complies with NMEA2000 physical and protocol standards, guaranteeing interoperability with all certified equipment.
This patch cable supports a nominal current of 4 amps and a voltage of 60 Volts AC/DC. Its construction includes gold-plated copper alloy contacts and nickel-plated copper crimp connectors, ensuring optimal conductivity and corrosion resistance in marine environments. The cable and connector design provide IPX7 waterproofing, meeting marine condition requirements.
Environmental performance and installation
The FURUNO FI-50-CHAIN-1M is designed to operate within a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C for the overmolded cable and -40°C to 85°C for the receptacle. This thermal tolerance ensures reliability across various operational conditions. Installation is simplified thanks to its "Plug and Play" design and the ability of Furuno FI-50 series devices to be connected in a "daisy chain" without additional T-connectors in certain configurations, optimizing network topology.
