The FURUNO 520-5PSD transducer is a thru-hull plastic transducer designed for accurate depth and temperature detection in marine environments. With 600W RMS power, this dual-frequency transducer is optimized for FURUNO echo sounders and sounder modules.
Dual-frequency detection capabilities
The FURUNO 520-5PSD operates on two distinct frequencies: 50 kHz and 200 kHz. The 50 kHz frequency offers a wide 46° beam angle, suitable for deep-water detection and broad area coverage. The 200 kHz frequency, with its narrower 10° beam, enables fine discrimination of the seabed and targets in shallower waters. This combination ensures accurate depth and temperature readings.
Robust design and installation
Designed for thru-hull installation, the 520-5PSD transducer features a shock- and chemical-resistant plastic housing with a urethane acoustic window. This transducer is compatible with fiberglass or metal hulls. Its 22 mm (0.875 in) installation diameter and compact dimensions (12 cm height x 6.8 cm width) facilitate integration. It comes with an 8 m cable terminated with a 10-pin connector. The transducer is rated for depths from 5 to 100 meters (16 to 328 ft).
Compatibility and advanced features
The FURUNO 520-5PSD transducer is compatible with a range of FURUNO echo sounders, including the FCV628, FCV588, GP1670F, GP1870F, GP1871F, GP1971F, and TZTouch2 models.
