Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin BlueNet™ network cable 010-12528-10, 15 meters long, is designed to extend the network connections of Garmin marine electronic systems. It features a right-angle (90°) connector to facilitate installations in confined spaces.
Connectivity and compatibility
This cable links various devices within the Garmin marine network. It is compatible with equipment such as the Garmin Marine IP camera GC™ 200, GMR Fantom™ radars (models 124, 126, 54, and 56), and the Panoptix LiveScope™ system. It can also connect Garmin BlueNet devices to each other or to a Garmin BlueNet 20 switch. For older systems, it can be used with Garmin Marine Network devices via a Garmin BlueNet 30 gateway, or with a PoE isolation coupler (010-10580-10) for IP cameras connected to a Garmin Marine Network chartplotter or GMS 10 switch.
Installation considerations
The 15-meter length provides extended reach for installing network devices on medium to large vessels. It is important to note that a single Garmin BlueNet network cable run must not exceed 87 meters and must not include more than one coupler to maintain optimal network performance. This cable is a key component for flexible installation of Garmin navigation and detection systems, serving as a standard solution for network extension, similar to NMEA 2000 cables for slower data networks but with bandwidth suited for modern radar and camera requirements.
