Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin GT36-TM and GT15M-IH transducer pack (reference 010-02536-10) is a hybrid solution designed for navigators and anglers seeking a versatile sonar coverage. This bundle combines high-definition imaging capabilities with reliable depth detection, specifically targeting fiberglass-hulled boats.
Garmin GT36-TM transducer: high-definition imaging for structure detection
The GT36-TM transducer, intended for transom mounting, integrates Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar technologies. It operates on frequencies of 455 kHz (425-485 kHz), 800 kHz (790-850 kHz), and 1000 kHz (940-1100 kHz), delivering 500 W of power. This configuration provides clear images of fish and underwater structures. Its maximum range reaches 122 meters (400 feet) in ClearVü and 152 meters (500 feet) in SideVü. The GT36-TM stands out with a 20% increased SideVü range at 1000 kHz compared to Garmin’s lower-range models. It also transmits depth and temperature data, and its mounting is compatible with transom angles from 0 to 70 degrees.
Garmin GT15M-IH transducer: depth and high-speed performance
Complementary, the GT15M-IH transducer is designed for internal hull installation, specifically for solid fiberglass hulls up to 16 mm thick. It uses a traditional mid-band CHIRP sonar (85-165 kHz) with 600 W RMS power. This transducer can reach a maximum depth of 579 meters (1900 feet) in freshwater, providing accurate readings even at high speeds. Its internal installation eliminates drag and protects the transducer from external damage. The GT15M-IH comes with four plastic tanks to adapt to deadrise angles from 0 to 25 degrees, ensuring optimal sonar beam performance. Unlike the GT36-TM, it provides depth data only.
Versatility and positioning of the Garmin 010-02536-10 pack
This pack positions itself as a complete solution for users of compatible Garmin chartplotters. While the GT36-TM transducer excels in coastal environments for detailed structure and fish school identification, the GT15M-IH ensures reliability in deeper waters and during high-speed navigation without the constraints of a through-hull mount. This combination allows users to benefit from the advantages of both technologies without significant compromise, offering superior flexibility compared to a single-transducer solution for coastal and offshore fishing.
