Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for ice fishing, the Garmin Ice Fishing Mount for Panoptix™ part number 010-12676-10 is an accessory dedicated to integrating compatible Panoptix transducers, such as the PS21, PS22, LVS32, and LVS34. This mount allows anglers to position their transducer for subsurface exploration under the ice, providing real-time sonar capabilities for detecting fish and structures.
Design and Features
The mount consists of a modular pole system, with adjustable segments to adapt to ice thickness. This modularity ensures the transducer is submerged beneath the ice for optimal performance. The base of the mount features protruding screws to improve stability on the frozen surface.
A key feature of this mount is its ability to allow transducer rotation. An integrated handle facilitates sensor orientation, enabling users to sweep the surrounding area without moving the assembly. The transducer’s viewing angle is also adjustable to switch between "forward view" and "downward view" modes, optimizing sonar imaging based on user needs.
Installation and Use
Assembly of the mount requires a Phillips screwdriver and a 5 mm hex wrench (included). Installation instructions detail the assembly of the pole segments and the attachment of the transducer. Once the transducer is mounted, hook-and-loop straps are used to secure the transducer cable along the pole, ensuring a clean and secure installation. Adjusting the viewing angle and selecting the sonar mode are configured via the compatible chartplotter or fishfinder, following the specific user manuals.
