Detailed description
Detailed description
Garmin marine charts for the Golfe de Gascogne, available in the Garmin Navionics+ range and the premium Garmin Navionics Vision+ version, provide mapping solutions for navigation and fishing. These charts integrate Garmin and Navionics data to deliver detailed and accurate information on the coastal and inland waters of the region.
Essential navigation features
These charts combine Garmin and Navionics content for comprehensive coverage and clarity of detail. Auto Guidance+ technology calculates a suggested dock-to-dock route based on desired depth and clearance, facilitating navigation through channels, entrances, and marinas while avoiding obstructions. The depth gradient function allows selection and display of up to 10 colored depth ranges, making it easier to identify target depths for fishing or navigation. Contours down to 0.5 meters (1 foot) provide a representation of the seabed structure, enhancing fishing charts and detail in marshes, canals, ports, and marinas. Shallow water shading highlights areas to avoid, with a user-defined depth setting.
A one-year subscription is included, providing daily chart updates via the ActiveCaptain® app, ensuring access to the most current information. The view is customizable with various chart layers and overlay combinations. NOAA raster mapping is no longer available for download on new charts, as NOAA discontinued updates in 2024. Community edits provide access to local information shared by Navionics Boating app users. Bottom composition helps identify seabed type, useful for anchoring and locating fishing areas. These charts are available in microSD™/SD™ format and are compatible with a range of Garmin devices, including ECHOMAP™ UHD2 6" and various GPSMAP® series.
Premium benefits with Garmin Navionics Vision+
The premium Garmin Navionics Vision+ range adds features, including high-resolution relief shading that combines color and shadow for an interpretable view of seabed structure, helping to locate artificial reefs and underwater plateaus. Downloadable high-resolution satellite imagery improves situational awareness. 3D views such as MarinerEye View and FishEye View provide three-dimensional representations of the environment above and below the waterline. Clear aerial photos of ports, marinas, bridges, docks, boat ramps, and navigation markers enhance understanding of the environment. The dynamic lake level function allows adjustment of lake water levels to visualize accessible or shallow areas, where applicable.
