Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for metal and fiberglass hulls, the Garmin 010-00701-01 smart through-hull transducer provides accurate depth and temperature data directly to your NMEA 2000 network. This 150 W sensor operates at a frequency of 160 kHz and offers a maximum depth of 274 meters (900 feet). Its tilted element is specifically adapted to hull drift angles from 13° to 24°, ensuring optimal readings in these configurations.
Integration and performance
The NMEA 2000 integration of this Garmin transducer simplifies connection to your existing marine electronics system, allowing digital data to be displayed on compatible GPS/chartplotter screens. Unlike NMEA 0183 models that require dedicated interfaces, NMEA 2000 connectivity offers easier installation and network scalability. This model differs from the 010-00701-00 reference by its tilt angle adapted to hulls with more pronounced drift (13°-24° vs. 0°-12°), optimizing performance for improved measurement accuracy.
Installation and compatibility
Installing the 010-00701-01 transducer requires drilling a 51 mm diameter hole in the hull. It comes with an NMEA 2000 T-connector and a 5.5-meter (18-foot) NMEA 2000 drop cable, enabling immediate integration. Its design ensures compatibility with a wide range of Garmin chartplotters and other NMEA 2000 equipment, providing a complete solution for underwater data acquisition.
