Designed to turn your smartphone or tablet into a fishfinder, the Garmin STRIKER™ Cast is a versatile throwable fishfinder suitable for freshwater, saltwater, and ice fishing. It displays real-time fishfinder data via a free app compatible with Apple and Android devices.
Sonar Performance and Connectivity
The STRIKER™ Cast supports fishfinder frequencies of 260/455 kHz, offering a depth range from 0.6 m to 45 m. Its oval beams feature a width of 22 x 63 degrees for 260 kHz and 9 x 14 degrees for 455 kHz. Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth, with a range up to 60 meters. The device includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery via USB, providing over 10 hours of operation and a charge time of approximately 1.5 hours. It automatically activates when submerged and powers off out of water to conserve energy.
Features and Robustness
With dimensions of 75.8 x 75.5 x 57.87 mm and a weight of 75 g, the STRIKER™ Cast is compact and lightweight. Its design meets IPX7 waterproofing standards. It operates in a temperature range from -20° to 60° C and charges between 5° and 40° C. The fishfinder offers easy-to-interpret traditional 2D modes and a flasher mode for ice fishing. The Fish Symbol ID function helps identify fish targets with graphic images and depth readings. Gain and range settings are adjustable. The STRIKER™ Cast allows access to the Garmin Quickdraw™ community to download custom fishing maps with 1-foot (0.3-meter) contours. Quickdraw Contours map creation is available only on the STRIKER™ Cast GPS version.
