The JL Audio M3-650X-S-Gw-i flush-mount marine speakers are designed for harsh marine environments, delivering clear and powerful sound reproduction. These 6.5-inch (165 mm) coaxial speakers feature bright white sport grilles and RGB LED lighting, combining aesthetics with acoustic performance. They are specifically engineered to withstand marine conditions, including salt fog exposure and UV radiation.
Acoustic design and marine-grade durability
The JL Audio M3-650X-S-Gw-i features a mineral-filled polypropylene cone woofer with UV inhibitors and a synthetic rubber surround. Its long-throw design and DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) optimization contribute to extended bass response and improved power handling. The 0.75-inch (19 mm) pure silk dome tweeter, treated for marine environments, uses neodymium magnets and Ferrofluid cooling for sound clarity. These speakers have a sensitivity of 89.5 dB @ 1 W / 1 m and a frequency response of 55 Hz to 25 kHz ± 3 dB. They handle 60 W RMS continuous power and 225 W peak power. The nominal system impedance is 4 Ω, with a recommended amplifier power range of 20 to 120 W per channel.
Integration and RGB LED lighting
Designed for free-air or infinite baffle installation, these speakers optimize performance with a minimum air volume of 57 liters behind the woofer. Their marine construction exceeds industry standards for salt fog and UV resistance, featuring UV-stabilized polymer baskets and grilles, and encapsulated motor systems to prevent corrosion. The integrated RGB LED lighting in the grille illuminates the woofer cone. A separate 12 V wiring is required for the LEDs, and a 150 mA fuse per speaker is recommended. An optional RGB controller (sold separately) allows adjustable color control. The mounting is standard with a 156 mm mounting circle and a cutout diameter of 5.00 to 5.25 inches (127 to 133 mm). The mounting depth is 2.78 inches (71 mm).
