Designed for marine environments, the JL Audio M6-650X-C-3Gw 6.5-inch flush-mount speakers deliver high-fidelity audio. This 2-way coaxial system integrates specific technologies for consistent sound performance in nautical conditions.
Design and Audio Performance
These speakers feature a 6.5-inch injected polypropylene woofer with mica reinforcement and a synthetic rubber surround, optimized for long excursion. This design generates low-frequency energy and clear midrange dynamics. The 0.8-inch pure silk dome tweeter, treated for marine environment resistance, is front-mounted for superior frequency response and optimized off-axis dispersion.
JL Audio’s DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) technology ensures linear performance and controlled behavior at all listening levels, improving output power, bass extension, and power handling. The system includes a multi-order passive crossover, concealed within the woofer frame for protection against vibrations and corrosion. A semiconductor-based automatic protection circuit is integrated for the tweeter.
