Designed for demanding marine and off-road environments, the JL Audio M6-650VeX-Mb-S-GmTi Marine Tour Speakers are a 2-way 6.5-inch coaxial system. They are specifically engineered to deliver clear, powerful sound capable of overcoming engine noise and external elements.
Marine-Grade Robust Construction and Durability
These speakers feature marine-grade construction with UV- and corrosion-resistant polymer baskets and grilles. Mounting hardware is made of marine-grade stainless steel. Each JL Audio product undergoes rigorous testing, including UV and salt spray chambers, to ensure longevity in the harshest conditions. The speakers are manufactured at JL Audio’s Miramar, Florida facility using globally sourced components and materials. A 2-year warranty is included.
Optimal Audio Performance
The system delivers 75 watts RMS continuous power per speaker and 225 watts peak power. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms. The frequency response ranges from 100 Hz to 25,000 Hz (± 3 dB), with a sensitivity of 89.5 dB @ 1 W / 1 m. The 6.5-inch woofers feature injection-molded polypropylene cones filled with mica, with a synthetic rubber surround. The 0.75-inch silk dome tweeters are selected for their light weight and smooth response, producing precise high-frequency detail. The woofers are optimized using JL Audio’s DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) technology to reduce distortion and improve transient performance and bass quality. Passive 2-way crossovers, including a 1st-order low-pass filter and a 2nd-order high-pass filter, along with an electronic tweeter protection circuit, are integrated into the woofer baskets.
Flexible Installation and Aesthetics
The VeX™ speakers are designed for outdoor applications and include a rotating clamp receiver to accommodate various mounting accessories (sold separately), allowing installation on flat surfaces, safety rails, or tower structures. This enables precise sound aiming. The finish is refined, with a matte black enclosure, a "gunmetal" sport grille, and a "titanium" grille insert. Each speaker comes with a decorative aluminum logo cap that can be oriented to match the installation. The speaker dimensions are 179 mm (7.03 inches) in diameter and 157 mm (6.17 inches) in depth. Height including the mounting clamp receiver is 185 mm (7.27 inches).
