Designed for marine, powersports, and off-road environments, the JL Audio M3-650VeX-Gw-S-Gw marine tower speakers are 2-way coaxial systems with 6.5-inch (165 mm) drivers. They are housed in injection-molded enclosures featuring a glossy white finish and glossy white sport grilles, ensuring clear and powerful audio output.
Audio Performance and Robust Design
These speakers deliver 60 watts RMS continuous power per speaker, with a recommended amplifier power of 20 to 120 watts per channel. The system’s nominal impedance is 4 ohms, and the frequency response ranges from 100 Hz to 25 kHz (± 3 dB), with a sensitivity of 89.5 dB at 1 W / 1 m. The woofer features a mica-injected polypropylene (MIPP) cone with synthetic rubber surround, while the tweeter is a 0.75-inch (19 mm) silk dome. The 2-way crossovers are mounted to the woofer baskets for optimal integration.
Marine Construction and Visual Integration
The enclosures measure 179 mm (7.03 in) in diameter, 156 mm (6.16 in) in depth, and 185 mm (7.27 in) in height including the mounting bracket. The design incorporates UV- and corrosion-resistant materials, including polymer baskets and grilles, synthetic rubber surrounds, and gold-plated marine-grade brass terminals. Each speaker includes an RGB LED lighting system requiring dedicated wiring connections for each color (red, green, blue) and a +12V power supply. The LED current draw is 108 mA at 12V DC, with an operating voltage range of 10 to 14.4V DC and a recommended 150 mA fuse. An RGB lighting controller (sold separately) is required for adjustable color control.
Installation and Aesthetics
The system ships with a swivel clamp bracket for precise positioning when mounting to a flat surface, safety arch, or tower structure. Mounting clamps are sold separately. Each enclosure features a glossy white finish and an adjustable Lexan logo appliqué to suit various mounting positions. Weatherproofing ensures durable marine use.
