Designed for sport fishing, the Lowrance ActiveTarget 2 XL depth sounder (ref. 000-16490-001) offers real-time sonar capabilities with improved resolution and an extended field of view. This transducer is an upgrade for existing ActiveTarget 2 systems, enabling simplified integration with compatible sonar modules. It provides accurate images of fish and bait movements, with ultra-clear target separation.
Extended field of view and display modes
The ActiveTarget 2 XL depth sounder stands out with its 180° field of view covering Forward XL, Down XL, and Scout XL modes. This surface-to-surface coverage eliminates "dead zones" and ensures a complete view beneath and around the boat. The ability to instantly switch between Forward XL and Down XL views directly from the display, without manual adjustment, optimizes responsiveness during fishing. The enhanced Scout mode includes angle markers for precise views in shallow or deep water, offering an ultra-wide perspective.
Integration and technical specifications
Compatible with Lowrance HDS® Pro, HDS® Live, HDS® Carbon, and Elite FS® displays, this depth sounder integrates into various navigation environments. It is designed for use with the existing ActiveTarget 2 sonar module. Mounting options include a mount for an electric outboard motor shaft, and it is compatible with motor mounts (specific to RECON™ electric motors) as well as transom mounting (sold separately). The depth sounder cable measures 3 meters (10 feet). The depth sounder has an IP67 protection rating, ensuring resistance to temporary immersion. Its operating water temperature range is 0°C to +35°C, and storage temperature ranges from -30°C to +70°C. The transducer weighs 1.21 kg.
