The Lowrance HDS-9 CARBON BZL & SD DOOR PK ASSY kit is a replacement parts set designed for Lowrance HDS-9 Carbon fishfinder/chartplotter combos. This kit includes the front bezel and the SD card slot door, essential components for maintaining the physical integrity and waterproofing of the unit.
HDS-9 Carbon combo overview
The Lowrance HDS-9 Carbon is a fishfinder/chartplotter combo recognized for its advanced capabilities and display. It features a 9-inch (228 mm) SolarMAX™ HD multi-touch screen with LED backlighting, delivering 1280 x 720 HD resolution and over 1300 nits brightness for visibility in full sunlight and with polarized sunglasses. Its dual-core processor ensures fast chart and sonar updates.
Sonar and Navigation Features
The HDS-9 Carbon is equipped with integrated Broadband, DownScan, and StructureScan sonar, plus dual CHIRP (low, medium, high frequencies). It supports 455/800kHz for StructureScan 3D/HD, 40-60kHz, 85-145kHz, 130-210kHz for CHIRP, and 50/83/200kHz narrowband. Sonar output power can reach 1kW depending on the transducer, with a transmit power of 500W (RMS). Features such as Dual-Channel CHIRP and FishReveal™ Smart Target View enhance fish detection. For navigation, it includes a 10 Hz GPS/GLONASS receiver and supports C-MAP, Navionics cartography, and real-time chart creation with Genesis Live. It is also compatible with C-MAP Easy Routing and Navionics Autorouting.
Connectivity and Robustness
The HDS-9 Carbon offers wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth), plus NMEA 2000® ports (1x Micro-C) and Ethernet (2 x 100 Mbit). It also includes an NMEA0183 port (1 x RS422). The unit has two microSD card slots (up to 32GB each) and operates on 12VDC (10.8-17VDC), with a typical current draw of 1.75A. Its IPX7 rating ensures water resistance, and it is designed for demanding marine conditions. Software updates and control via the Link app are facilitated by wireless connectivity. It integrates with various equipment such as Broadband radar, SonicHub®2 audio, Mercury® VesselView® Link, and MotorGuide® Xi5 electric motors.
