Detailed description
The Lowrance LINK-9 Flush Mount kit is designed for integrating the LINK-9 VHF radio, providing a clean, flush installation on your dashboard or console. This kit maintains the aesthetics of your helm, aligning with Lowrance multifunction displays for a consistent and modern look.
Key Features of the Lowrance LINK-9 VHF Radio
The Lowrance LINK-9 VHF radio, for which this kit is intended, is equipped with a dual-channel AIS receiver capable of receiving and displaying nearby AIS targets. It also integrates a 4-way GPS receiver, ensuring accurate positioning data via its built-in antenna, an SMA connector for an optional external GPS antenna, an NMEA 0183 input for chartplotter GPS, and an NMEA 2000 connection for network antenna.
With selectable transmit power of 25 W or 1 W, the LINK-9 delivers reliable VHF communication. It features a 256x160-pixel monochrome FSTN LCD screen with contrast control and adjustable 10-level white LED backlight (Day and Night modes). The radio complies with DSC Class D (Digital Selective Calling) and is IPx7 waterproof, ensuring protection against temporary immersion.
Connectivity and System Integration
The LINK-9 offers multiple connectivity options for full integration with your navigation system. It includes an NMEA 0183 port (RMC, GGA, GLL, GNS inputs; DSC, DSE, MOB outputs) and an NMEA 2000 port for data exchange with other marine devices. Connectors for VHF antenna (SO-239, 50 ohm) and GPS antenna (female SMA) are provided, along with outputs for external speaker (4 ohms, min. 4 W) and hailer (4 ohms, min. 30 W).
The removable six-button backlit microphone can be connected to the front or rear of the radio, offering installation flexibility and helping to reduce cable clutter. The front mechanical design simplifies installation with removable top and bottom frames that reveal mounting holes, similar to Lowrance multifunction displays.
