Detailed description
Detailed description
The Marinco 165AY Y adapter is designed to power two 50A 125/250V boat inlets from a single 50A 125/250V shore power source. This device allows vessels equipped with two 50A 125/250V inlets to connect to a single 50A 125/250V shore power source, optimizing the use of available harbor infrastructure.
Design and Marine Safety
The "shore" side of the adapter features a locking 50A 125/250V male plug. The "boat" side has two locking 50A 125/250V female connectors with sealing collars. This adapter is specifically designed for use in wet environments, integrating covers and sealing collars for reliable protection against marine elements.
Durability and Materials
Marinco adapters are typically constructed with a one-piece molded design, ensuring watertight integrity without exposed wiring. This design enhances the safety and reliability of the vessel’s electrical system. Contacts are made of nickel-plated brass, providing low-resistance connections while resisting corrosion from saltwater. The wiring used is marine-grade, characterized by durability and flexibility, ensuring long-term performance under demanding conditions.
