Detailed description
Detailed description
The JL Audio MV1000/1 marine amplifier is a monoblock Class D model designed to power one or more subwoofers in demanding marine audio installations. It delivers 1000 W RMS and uses NexD2™ technology to provide high power with good electrical efficiency while maintaining a size suitable for boat technical compartments and consoles.
Subwoofer amplification
The MV1000/1 is intended for low frequencies: it does not replace a full-range amplifier for loudspeakers but complements an installation with M3, M6, or M7 subwoofers. Configuration is done via the JL Audio TüN™ software from a computer, tablet, or phone connected via USB, allowing precise adjustment of level, filters, and bass response.
Onboard installation
The amplifier operates on a 12 V DC negative-ground network. It must be mounted in a dry, ventilated area with connections facing downward to maintain IPX2 resistance. Power wiring must be properly sized, protected by a fuse or circuit breaker near the battery, and preferably made of tinned copper for marine use.
Skysat advice
Choose this if the basket includes a genuine need for powerful bass, for example with a high-power JL Audio subwoofer. First check the impedance and acceptable power of the subwoofer, then plan the power supply, DC protection, and ventilation space before validating the mounting location.
