Designed for marine and mobile electrical systems, the Mastervolt AC Master 24/700 inverter converts a 24 V DC input into a 230 V AC sinusoidal output (50–60 Hz) with an AU/NZ plug type. This inverter delivers a continuous power output of 700 W at an ambient temperature of 40 °C with a power factor of 1. It is suitable for powering a variety of equipment requiring stable AC power.
Technical Specifications and Performance
The AC Master 24/700 operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 °C to 60 °C, with power derating above 40 °C (40 % of rated power at 60 °C). For installation safety, the inverter’s ground point must be connected to the central ground point of the vehicle or boat. If the DC input voltage is too low, the unit shuts down at 21.0 V and restarts at 25.0 V. For high voltage, it shuts down at 33.0 V and restarts at 29.0 V.
No-load power consumption is less than 0.8 A in normal mode and drops to less than 0.06 A in energy-saving mode, optimizing battery autonomy. The unit’s dimensions are 200 mm (height) x 330 mm (width) x 83 mm (depth). For compliant installation, the minimum recommended cross-section for DC cables is 16 mm² (6 AWG) and for AC cables 0.50 mm² (20 AWG).
Features and Connectivity
The Mastervolt AC Master 24/700 inverter features a remote control terminal with two functions: an alarm contact (dry contact, max load 30 V / 1 A) and a remote switch. The DIP switches allow selection of output voltage and frequency, as well as activation of the energy-saving mode. LED indicators display input voltage level and output load level, with clear warnings for faults such as low DC input voltage or high internal temperature.
